CUTORA After-Sales Service
The right sound is the sign of the right setting.
Every Cutora scissor must be set at a precise point of pressure, blade contact, and movement — a proprietary standard defined by the maker, and different from ordinary hairdressing-scissor adjustment.
When a scissor leaves this setting, it is not always visible to the eye. The main sign is the sound of the blades opening and closing: a distinctive acoustic signature whose final diagnosis is made by Cutora's founder, together with the production team.
To keep the factory standard, a Cutora scissor should be delivered to an authorized dealer every three months so the sound, blade alignment, and setting point can be checked and, if needed, professionally retuned.
The quarterly retuning process
- 1
Drop-off at an authorized dealer
The scissor is received at a Cutora dealer together with its serial number.
- 2
Specialist sound check
The sound of the blades opening and closing is matched against the product's original standard by Cutora's founder and the production team.
- 3
Retuning and return
If needed, the scissor is retuned to the factory's proprietary setting and prepared for return.
Adjusting Cutora screws or blades by unauthorized people can change the scissor's proprietary standard. For any adjustment, go only to an official CUTORA dealer.
